MotoGP Indianapolis 2009: Lorenzo powers

Indianapolis, -Spaniard Jorge Lorenzo, his third victory this season at the Indianapolis MotoGP on Sunday (30 / 8). That's after the standings leader Valentino Rossi and the drivers who occupy the leading position, Dani Pedrosa, had an accident falling from the vehicle.

Lorenzo, who won two of the first four races, reached the finish line with a 9.43-second advantage from the drivers of San Marino, Alex De Angelis.

These results provide an opportunity for Lorenzo to catch up in order to win the world title from his team-mates at Yamaha, Valentino Rossi, who for the first time this season, failed to finish.

Rossi started the race with 50 points advantage from Lorenzo, but now only 25 points, while the race is now live five times longer. Italian had fallen from the vehicle at the end of the ninth lap when he tried to catch Lorenzo who was leading.

Rossi back to riding his Yamaha motorcycle, but retired two laps later, so for the first time he failed to finish the race balapannya since Valencia in 2007.

Honda rider, Pedrosa, who dominated practice and qualifying session at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, falling from the vehicle in the fourth round when he was leading. The Spaniard came back into the race, but scattered on lap-10.

American racer, Nicky Hayden, the acclaim of the supporters in his own country with the third position with his Ducati vehicle to complement the drivers who took the podium.
