Valentino Rossi appeared dominant to overcome the main competition, Jorge Lorenzo won the race and the San Marino GP, Sunday, 06.09.2009.
Eight times world champion 30-year-old was in the finish followed by Lorenzo and other pebalap Spain, Dani Pedrosa in third place. This victory makes Rossi collected 237 points and winning 30 points from Lorenzo. Pedrosa was in the top three standings with 157 points and ahead of former world champion, Casey Stoner.
Admitted Rosssi race began hesitantly. "At first I was quite hard and difficult because the race started badly," said Rossi who took pole position. "But then it all ended well."
Lorenzo admitted to appear not as good as Rossi. "I've tried everything I can now surpassed Dani (Pedrosa). But Valentino was number one for this weekend."
Pedrosa admitted lucky to be in the finish because of time out of gasoline. "Lorenzo and Rossi too fast for me. Hopefully next time I am better," said Pedrosa.
